Employees’ Community Service Fund
The CSF will be posting nomination forms in various areas for interested individuals who would like to run for Administer. The areas up for election are Buildings 5/ 6-1/ 7&50/ 12/ 2d&14 and 42. The term will end on 12/31/2011. You must be a CSF member to run. Nomination forms will be posted from January 21st to the end of the business day on January 27th. If elections are necessary, they will take place on February 5th, 2010. For more information, call (875-3212)
Chief Plant Steward’s Report
First of all, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hopefully the company gets some new orders for 2010, so that our layed-off brothers and sisters can get back to work. We would certainly welcome some good news for a change here at the Erie plant.
There will be two Stewards workshops in January on the 26th, with the first one starting at 1:00 P.M. and the second at 3:30 P.M. Steve Tormey from our National office will conduct these classes. The topics will focus on Discipline and Days in Court. All members are welcome to attend these classes.
January 29th will be the next step 2 meeting. We have a total of 66 cases throughout the plant and 4 of those cases have been submitted to step 3.
