UE LOCAL 506 NEWS SUPPLEMENT |
JUNE MEMBERSHIP MEETING NOTICE
A Tentative Contract Agreement was reached between the UE Negotiating Committee and GE on Sunday evening. The UE-GE Conference Board met in New York on Tuesday and the UE Local 506 and 618 Executive Boards met on Wednesday to review the memorandum of agreement. Both groups voted to recommend acceptance.Contract Explanation/Vote on Tentative Agreement
Before voting, all UE Local 506 Members are encouraged to attend one of the scheduled meetings listed below. During the meetings, the Officers will explain the tentative Contract package and answer your questions. For your convenience, Members can attend the meeting that best fits their schedule.
The Contract Meeting will be considered as the regular monthly meeting, however, the reading of the minutes and financial report will be suspended until the July Meeting.
NOTICE of NOMINATIONS: Along with the Contract vote, Local 506 Members are asked to nominate Delegates to the UE National Convention to be held in Pittsburgh from August 24th -28th. Four delegate seats will then be decided by a vote taken at the July Membership Meetings.

Voting Hours: 7:30 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
Voting will take place in the lobby at the entrance to the Iroquois High School auditorium.
*Voting Machines will be used for the Contract Vote, to avoid delays, please make sure you have your 2002-2003 Membership card with you and ready to show at the registration table.
